How many traps do you need? The more you have, the sooner or more likely you are to intercept foraging termites, but usually, set them in gardens about 3-8 metres apart. Look at each garden bed and think whether you need 2, 3 or 4 in it then add the total of beds. There are 6 Traps in each carton for $220. Here’s a guide:

No sign of termites yet - perhaps too early. Some peace of mind having monitors around.

We reside on a 5 acre semi rural block in the Perth Hills. I purchased the standard kit and installed them around the gardens including our vegie patch about 15 meters from our back door. It took about 5 months-but sure enough the hole on the trap in the vegie patch filled up with mud so I added some bait. A week later I checked the trap - (at that stage I had tin foil over the cover to keep out the light)and I was dumb struck. I have never seen so may termites at one time. The cardboard ring had gone along with all the cardboard. I rolled up and inserted some more cardboard and added another bait. This went on for nearly 4 months and I have to say I was about to ring and complain that this didn't work but decided to try one more bait. A week later when I checked, the lid was full of soggy dead white ants. It was almost overnight. It took nearly a full box of 12 baits to finish them off, so it must have been a very large nest. Anyway I've purchased six more traps and dotted them around the block. I can only say that this proved to be a simple safe and very effective process. I am happy to recommend this product. Its not fast but it certainly works for me..
